This kind of bionic pitcher's infiltration responsive liquid perfusion surface has been proved to be an effective means of fine-tuning the interfacial adhesion to control the droplet infiltration movement behavior in real time. Professor Xia fan his collaborators from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) summarized the development of field responsive liquid perfusion surfaces inspired by pitcher plants in the past five years. . Firstly they discussed the sliding mechanism design concept of liquid perfusion surface from a theoretical perspective. Then the liquid perfusion surfaces which can realize the sliding non sliding transition of the repulsed droplets under the stimulation of external fields such as force electric field magnetic field temperature are summarized respectively. At the same time they summarized a series of applications based on the development of responsive liquid perfusion surface such as micro reactor pipette fog water collection system etc. Finally the current future challenges are discussed. This review is of great significance to the development of controllable wettable surfaces.
