Preparation of nano cuprous oxide from chalcocite in acidic acetonitrile-copper chloride system

wallpapers Tech 2021-06-10
Preparation of nanometer copper from chalcocite with acid acetonitrile-copper chlorination system and characterization of products by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and JSM-5600LV scanning electron microscope (SEM) were studied. The result showed that Cu(superscript +)→Cu^0 or Cu(superscript +) could prepare directly, other than Cu(superscript +)→Cu(superscript 2+)→Cu^0 or Cu(superscript +) The optimum preparation conditions were established. When temperature, acetonitrile volume fraction, and hydrochloric volume fraction were appropriate, nanometer Cu(I) lixiviated from chalcocite and existed stably in the acid acetonitrile-copper chlorination system.
Preparation of Nano-Cuprous Oxide and Its Photocatalytic Performance
Nano-sized Cuprous Oxide was prepared by the CuCl hydrolyzation method. In constant pressure, the optimal reaction condition of preparing Cu2O is confirmed, and the obtained products were analyzed and characterized by XRD and SEM. The acid fuchsine solution was photo catalytically degraded with the nano-sized Cu2O as the catalyst. The effects of the dosage of Cu2O, the concentration of the acid fuchsine solution, the time of degradation, and so on were tested. The experimental results indicated that the degradation efficiency of the acid fuchsine solution of 5 mg/L could reach 97.96% under solar irradiation for 6 h when the solid-liquid ratio is 5.6 g/L. Moreover, after repetitively using the catalyst 7 times, its photocatalytic degradation rate could remain above 70%.
Preparation of nano cuprous oxide and its catalytic performance for the degradation of methylene blue
The nanocrystalline Cu2O was prepared by the solvothermal method using CuSO4•5H2O and NaOH as the stalling materials and glucose as the reducing agent. The as-prepared Cu2O was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The degradation of methylene blue in Cu2O suspension without lights and stirring is investigated, the rate of degradation is more than 95% after 50 min in the best catalytic condition Cu2O (0.400g/L), H2O2 (2.5mL, 12.63%), the initial methylene blue concentration (10 mg/L).
